Crossing 32nd Street, named Phoenix's "Best New Classical Music Ensemble" by the Arizona Republic, strives to increase the awareness and understanding of modern music through an aggressive commiment to performing relevant contemporary works at the highest level.  Performances routinely include the music of the modern masters, including, among others, John Cage, Steve Reich, Louis Andriessen, Iannis Xenakis, Lou Harrison, Terry Riley, John Luther Adams and James Tenney, as well as the exciting new works of emerging composers.  More

Special 10th Anniversary Season

The 2011-12 season marks our tenth year of making music together.  We have invited a large contingent of our past and current players to join us in a season that will feature some of our favorite works along with a continued exploration of new and emerging pieces.  The "greatest hits' list includes music from Steve Reich, Terry Riley, James Tenney and others.  Join us for these exciting concerts. More

Tribute Bands, in addition to our work with the music of the experimental tradition we are also deeply invloved in the recordings and performances of popular music and its place as works of art. Join us this fall and spring as we present a tribute to the music of the Beatles and Women that Rock, then in early summer the music of The Who.

The 2012-13 season - we have an ambitious season planned, featuring the music of John Cage, Chris Scinto, 1973, Karlheinz Stockhausen and the giant Miron bird. Details forthcoming.
