2017-18 Season

The 2017-18 season marks our 17th year of making music together.  It also marks the joyous arrival of triplets to the Tolentino/Esler ensemble.

This season we are focusing on recording projects, ensemble works and some of our repertoire pieces.

This fall we will be premiering and recording Jacob Adler's evening-length work Opus Claviblasticum on the ASU Prisms Festival.  The large scale resources include Organ, otoacoustic drone ensemble, 4 percussionist and 3 pianos in 11-limit just intonation.

In the Spring, performances of Reich's Drumming and Stockhausen's Musik Im Bauch will challenge audience and performer alike, as will new music by ensemble composers Robert Esler, Barry Moon and Jeremy Muller and a solo recital version of Cage's Variations III by Douglas Nottingham.  We also will be returning to the PHX Art Museum with a collaborative concert accompanying the amazing Manuel Rangel.

The Abiquiu Chamber Music Festival concert will highlight music by John Cage, Ruth Lomon, Peter Garland, Christopher Shultis, Karlheinz Stockhausen and Nigel Westlake.
